Our board-certified heart surgeons, assisted by nurses and support staff who specialize in heart care, remove a healthy blood vessel from another part of the body (usually the leg) and use it to construct a detour around a blocked artery near the heart. Depending on how many heart arteries need bypassing, the surgery may involve one, two, three or more arteries.

If you have diabetes and need heart surgery, your blood glucose will be monitored and maintained at healthy levels during the surgery.
